  • tekst uit tentoonstellingfolder 2013. : Klassieke zelfportretten zijn vanuit één gezichtspint geschilderd en zeggen daarmee: dit is de waarheid, zo zie ik eruit. Pessers laat zichtzelf van drie kanten zien, zijn gezicht verborgen achter schmink. De titel van het werk is ontleend aan Billie Holiday die zong: \"Me, myself and I, are just one point of view\"gevolgd door: \"So if you pass me by, three hearts will break in two\".Vandaar wellicht de twee hartjes op het clownsgezicht.
