ClimatExpo '22 - with ArtWorlds
It is all too clear that the climate crisis necessitates major changes, some of which are beyond our imagination. So we need the imagination and creativity of artists to picture the unimaginable. That is why ArtWorlds and Museum de Fundatie are organising ClimatExpo ’22, which will open on 17 September at the Academiehuis in Zwolle, Kasteel het Nijenhuis and the sculpture garden in Heino / Wijhe and Museum de Fundatie Zwolle.
Please note: in Museum de Fundatie Zwolle there is only one cabinet dedicated to this exhibition.
The look of ClimatExpo ’22 will be determined by the makers, with exhibits chosen by open competition and anonymous selection. Registrations are now closed.
As at SummerExpo, all contemporary forms of visual art will be welcome at ClimatExpo ’22, from painting to outdoor sculpture, models to photography, and everything in between. The only requirement is that the work addresses the issue of climate change.
Who will judge?
A large, mixed jury with members both young and old, including museum staff, gallery owners, artists, writers, scientists, care workers, construction workers, hair stylists, students, schoolkids and many others, will select works for the exhibition from the images (and descriptions) submitted.

Sales exhibition
All artworks will be for sale during the run of the exhibition. Stichting ArtWorlds will facilitate sales and receive 30% commission on each piece sold. ArtWorlds uses its commission to fund its projects. Museum de Fundatie will not be financially involved in the sales process.
ClimatExpo ’22 is part of Museum de Fundatie’s Future Factory, a laboratory where multidisciplinary makers seek out the pulse of today’s world and explore the issues that will shape the future. Their findings are presented in displays both inside and outside the museum.
