Abraham Onoriode Oghobase (b. 1979, Lagos, Nigeria) is a visual artist who lives and works in Toronto, Canada. He holds an MFA in Visual Arts from York University, Toronto.

In his photography-based practice, he explores issues around knowledge production, land, colonial history, and representation. He does this by deconstructing traditional modes of making and experimenting with the narrative and material potential of images and objects. All the while, he embraces the power of abstraction and reveals new possibilities in meaning and imagination.
Oghobase’s work has been exhibited widely, including in the Nigeria Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennial; the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto (CA); Museum of Modern Art, New York (US); Polygon Gallery, Vancouver (CA); Goodman Gallery, Johannesburg (ZA).
His work is held in the permanent collections of institutions including the MoMA, New York ( US); the Art Institute of Chicago (US); Ackland Art Museum, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (US); and the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Helsinki (FI).
